IntelliMicro Medical Co., Ltd., was established in Changsha, China in March 2018 by several Chinese Americans, overseas Chinese, California Institute of Technology, Academician Mark Humayun (the father of the intelligent retina, recipient of the U.S. National Medal of Technology and Innovation in 2015), Academician Yu-Chong Tai (recipient of Robert Bosch Micro and Nano Electro Mechanical System Award 2015), Academician Robert Grubbs (Laureate of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry) and several experts. It is the only enterprise transformed by scientific research achievement in which Caltech holds equity outside the United States, and the only enterprise in which the National Medal of Technology and Innovation settles outside the United States.

The company is mainly engaged in the research and development and production of BCI neurostimulation series products and high-end ophthalmic medical devices. The company's adaptive zoom intraocular lens and other series of ophthalmic products, as well as drug rehabilitation, Parkinson's treatment, pain treatment, urinary incontinence treatment, and other neuroelectrical stimulation projects are in the finalizing process.
